Hapi hiking
Two Oxforshire walkers have come up with a simple but novel product to help prevent feet from boot rub. Hapihike, created by Julia Sargent and Maureen Langston, is made from cleaned raw wool infused with antibacterial , anti-inflammatory peppermint oil. Maureen came up with the idea when walking the West Highland Way - some of her fellow walkers were suffering with blisters and she found clumps of raw wool to use as cushioning, discovering that it effectively moulded around the foot. She later found out that Mrs Sargent has used the same approach when walking in Sutherland - and they decided together to produce Hapihike. The product was developed with the help of a chemist. |

'Woolly Thinking'

Keen walkers Julia Sargent, 61, and Maureen Langston, 59, - whom generations of Oxfordshire children will remember as their primary school teachers - reckon that they have come up with an idea to help anyone, anywhere, who ever finds themselves saying: "my feet are killing me."
